Westgate delivered almost 100 shoeboxes to children around the world.
The mission of Operation Christmas Child (OCC) is to demonstrate God’s love in a tangible way to needy children around the world, and together with the local church worldwide, to share the Good News of Jesus Christ. Samaritans Purse is the organization through which we minister to children around the world at Christmas time. You can learn more about this organization and OCC here.
If you are interested in packing a shoebox of blessings for a boy or girl somewhere in the world, you will need an instruction brochure and label which you can pick up at the display table in the front foyer or print one by following this link. If you are not able to pack a shoebox, there are other ways in which you can help.
One great way to invite neighbors or members from groups of all kinds to participate in packing shoeboxes together is through hosting a Packing Party! There are lots of ideas to help you share the work and costs, while you double the gifts and prayers! This also may inspire more missional opportunities within your circle of friends. If you'd like some practical information about how to plan a packing party, contact the Church Office.
