Speaker at Sandy Island 2025 will be Pastor James Sharp
Originally from Dallas, Texas, James has served as the pastor for teaching and vision at Life Church in Salisbury, NC, since 2019. He holds a B.A. in Music Education from West Texas A&M University and an M.A. in Biblical Exegesis from Wheaton College Graduate School. Before coming to Life Church, James pastored churches in Amarillo, TX, and Lincoln, NE.
In addition to his role at Life Church, James is a regional leader in the Pillar Network, a teaching fellow in Old Testament studies with the Institute of Theology and Mission, and a workshop leader with the Charles Simeon Trust.
James and his wife, Kristen, have four children: Hudson (18), Isaac (17), Elliot (14), and Carson (12). He enjoys music, reading, and running—albeit slowly—and maintains lifelong (and slightly unhealthy) allegiances to the Boston Red Sox and Manchester United.
