Options for giving financially to Westgate Church

For those who are able and wish to support financially the work of the Lord through Westgate Church, any of the following ways can be used for giving. Keep in mind that if you wish your gift to be designated for anything other than the General Fund, you will need to make note of that as explained below:

*Personal check  Put your donation in an envelope and mail it to the church office - Westgate Church, 100 Winter Street, Weston MA 02493.  Checks may also be dropped off at the church office as described below under Cash gifts, or placed in an offering box at the rear of the sanctuary if you are attending a worship service in person. Use the memo section of your check for Missions, Special Needs or other designations.

*Cash  Gifts of cash may be put in an envelope with your name and designation of your donation on the outside and dropped off at the church office during regular office hours. Confirm with Julie before arriving at the office that she will be there when you arrive.

*Online Giving  From the church website, select “Give” at the top right corner of the main page. On the Giving page you will be directed as to how to use our online giving platform, which is Paypal. It explains the fee which is paid by the church for each Paypal transaction, and that you are not required to set up a Paypal account to make a one-time gift but instead may use either a debit or credit card. You do have the option to set up a recurring gift by opening a Paypal account (at paypal.com). There is no fee to create an account with Paypal.

Once you choose your payment method (PayPal, Debit or Credit Card), proceed to the next page and in the "Write a note" section we ask that everyone make a note to designate fund and dollar amount (ex. General Fund, Missions Fund).  If no note is written, 100% of your donation will go to the General Fund. You will be credited for the full amount of your Paypal gift and it will be reported on your annual giving statement. You will need to use a debit or credit card to make a Paypal transaction.

*Bank Bill Pay  Many banks provide a bill paying service. Go to your bank’s website and navigate to “Online Bill Pay” or something similar. You should have the option to create either a one-time or recurring payment to Westgate Church with no additional fee. Your check will be generated by the bank and mailed to the church at the address you supply. You will need to identify yourself as the donor through the “Account” or other field provided for identification. Please indicate in the Memo section any designation of your gift (General Fund, Missions Fund or other).

*Planned Giving  If you would like to know more about other ways to give to Westgate Church, including giving shares of stock, mutual funds, or Qualified Charitable Distributions from IRAs, please contact the church Treasurer or the church office (office @ westgate-church.org).
