Online Resources and Life On Mission Conference

Firstly, we want to thank you for joining with us in our first ever digital worship service last Sunday, March 15. We received lots of feedback that reminded us how important it is to stay connected during this difficult season, and we are thrilled to be able to worship “together” in this way for now. It looks like this will be our only available option for corporate worship and teaching for the time being, and we are certainly thankful for your feedback and encouragement. We should also mention that none of it would have been possible without Drew and Joshua Halberstadt. Please join us in appreciating all their hard work.

As many of us are confined to our homes these days, we know that it can be easy to feel isolated and alone. Our hope is that we are able to support one another, love one another well, and remain in unity while we cannot connect in person. To that end, we are excited to announce the launch of Westgate’s new home for online resources, accessible at www.westgate-church.org/online. This is where you’ll be able to stay connected and access lots of ministry programs and materials during the remainder of the COVID-19 pandemic. It's where you’ll be able to stream our worship services, submit prayer requests, find Kids Journey, and connect with Home Groups and book studies, in addition to other content we are developing. Though none of these things can really replace our gatherings in person, we are thankful for the chance to stay connected, worship together, and grow spiritually from our scattered locations. Please take some time to visit and let us know what you think.

This Sunday, March 22 our sermon will be preached by Dr Jim Singleton as we kick off our Life On Mission Conference for 2020, On Mission Together. Dr Singleton is a professor of Church Leadership and Evangelism at Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary and his message will launch us into the conference which will continue online on Friday, March 27 and Saturday, March 28. This year we are focusing on pursuing God’s mission in MetroWest and the church transformation necessary for us to do so. The conference is free, and we hope you’ll plan to join us online for each session.

Lastly, we want to remind all of you that your pastors and elders are always available to connect via phone or email. Though many of us are confined to our homes and have restricted opportunities to connect in person, we would love to hear from you.

On behalf of the Elders,

Pastors Bruce Daggett and Travis Vaclavik
