This summer at Westgate we’re focusing on three critical elements of a healthy church: Word, Prayer, and Fellowship.

JUNE | Something More Sure: The Centrality of Scripture in the Life of the Church

Why does the Bible play such a central role in who we are and what we do? What should we believe about the Bible? What does it tell us about itself? Is it true? Is it still relevant today? How should it impact our lives, relationships, and ministries? And what’s at stake if we neglect it, replace it, or subject it to some other authority in our life and ministry?

Join us during June as Pastor Brandon helps us explore “something more sure” (2 Pet. 1:19)—the centrality of Scripture in the life of the church.

JULY | The Model Prayer

Jesus’ prayer life was so rich that his disciples asked him to teach them to pray. His answer should be the ultimate guide of our prayer lives. Prayer is not about getting stuff. It is about getting God. Join us in July as Pastor Bruce leads us through Jesus’ model prayer.

AUGUST | Together in Christ: The Ingredients of Biblical Fellowship

Why is it that when we talk to each other over coffee and cookies at church we call it “fellowship,” but when we do the same activities at work or with our neighbors we call it a “social”? Is there something more to the biblical vision of fellowship for God’s people? What makes our fellowship unique? What should life together in Christ look like? Why does the Bible make such a big deal of Christians spending time with each other?
