Short Term Missions Opportunities

The elders feel that a short-term missions experience is of prime importance for every able member and attendee at Westgate Church. In recent years a team traveled to Haiti to continue with church construction and youth outreach. Another team went to Washington DC to do a VBS outreach. One of our members and our senior pastor began a new effort to train church planters in Thailand in conjunction with the EV Free Mission, and another member is involved in teaching with our missionary Rich Forsen in the Bible Schools in Romania.

Team members are required to contribute from personal finances, as well as experience the joy of "raising support financially and prayerfully" from friends and relatives. The membership of Westgate also participates financially and prayerfully in support of those going out. Team members are enriched and missions is enhanced through these experiences.

There is a particular need for team leaders. Please contact us if you are interested in helping organize a foreign or domestic trip, or travelling as a team member.
