Wayne Anderson

Centering Ministries exists to encourage Christians to deepen their relationship with God. We recognize that among the many important elements that comprise the Christian, abiding in Christ must be at the heart of who we are and what we do.

Wayne Anderson speaks with Christian groups across the nation through such vehicles as retreats and conferences, workshops, seminars, Sunday church services and classes. In addition, Wayne is part of a team teaching a course on leadership development at Fuller and Talbot Seminaries, and teaches in a two year pastoral training project involving a growing number of pastors from California and throughout the country.

Wayne also meets individually and in small groups with pastors, Christian workers, and lay people who are interested in spiritual growth and formation.

Prayer requests:

• Pray for our Thursday night meetings, especially for those who come from addictive and abusive backgrounds. Pray that they would experience God's healing grace and love in their lives. Pray that I would have sensitivity to God's Spirit as I lead the group.

• Pray for the preparation for the next session of The Journey which will be held January 28-February 2. So far we have had fifteen generations of those who have been through the process of six retreats over a two year period. This time we will be starting Generation 16 as well as continuing with those who have already been attending. Pray that God will be working in the hearts of those who are considering whether to attend and that God would bring to right people to this ministry.

• Pray for my work as spiritual director that God would lead me to the people of His choosing and give me a sensitivity to the work of His Spirit in our meetings. Pray that I would be an encouragement to others in their walk with God.
• Pray for me in the midst of the busyness of ministry that I would always take time to be renewed and refreshed in my walk with Him so that I minister out of the overflow of His grace in my life.

Praises:

• Praise for being spared any damage from the recent fires here in Orange County. The flames came right onto the grounds of the apartment complex where I live and within about 150 yards of my apartment. I had to evacuate suddenly for a day, but the fire fighters stopped the blaze just in time. How thankful I am for God's mercy in this situation.
• Praise for our last session of The Journey, our retreat ministry for pastors and Christian workers. About 80 gathered in a mountain setting for a time of renewal, refreshment, and teaching. God met us in wonderful ways and gave many a new vision for life and ministry.
• Praise for the presence and blessing of God in our young adult fellowship which I lead and which meets weekly on Thursday evenings. We have spent extended time waiting on God together and interceding in prayer for those in need. We have seen amazing answers to prayer as He has manifested His power and grace.
• Praise for wisdom and direction from God in my work as a spiritual director meeting with college students and others one on one to help them to discern how God is working and leading in their lives.
