BETHANY CHRISTIAN SERVICES

Bethany Christian Services, now over sixty years in existence, started in 1944 as a vision of two Christian women who had a dream of starting a Christian home for homeless children. How very far that dream has come! Now headquartered in Grand Rapids, Michigan with seventy-five branch and satellite offices across the country as well as international ministries in a dozen countries, Bethany is a non-profit and pro-life adoption and family services agency that is supported through service fees and financial gifts from churches, individuals, and corporations. Bethany’s services extend beyond adoption in its Christian care as they reach out to people struggling with unplanned pregnancies, infertility, and many other human challenges and hurts. Our main office in New England, serving Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Vermont, is located in North Andover, Massachusetts with Pamela J. Wood and Janice Carter Lessard serving as Co-Directors for the New England area. Pam Wood oversees Massachusetts and Rhode Island and Jan Lessard oversees New Hampshire and Vermont. We are truly blessed to serve children and families in the New England area and we are privileged to pray for our clients and provide Christian care to all. Furthermore, it is magnificent to see the workings of our wonderful God as His plan unfolds in the lives of the children and families we serve.

We want to thank the members of Westgate Church for their long-established friendship with Bethany and the financial support that also is so very important. We know fully that, with friends such as you, who care, pray, and financially support Bethany, we are thus empowered to continue our Christian care for children and families in this northeast area of our country

Prayer Requests:

  • God’s protection for the ministry of Bethany and its endeavor to be pleasing to Him and faithful to His Word.
  • Women experiencing unplanned pregnancies – that they will choose life for their unborn children and that they may find their way to Bethany for loving Christian care and support.
  • Adoptive families – for smooth home study processes – for patience and comfort as they await placement of longed-for children – for safety in oversees travel for international placements - for smooth adjustment when the children come home – for teaching God’s Word to their children.
  • More adoptive families with hearts for international adoption, older child and special needs adoption, and adoption of children of varied racial backgrounds
  • Bethany staff to be strong witnesses for Jesus Christ.
  • God’s leading and wisdom for our New England Board President, Laura Brown, and members of Bethany New England’s Board of Directors.
  • More Volunteers to help with fundraising activites.
  • God’s protection to surround the adoption plans that have been put in place through Bethany Christian Services.

Thank you for your prayers!
