Financial

The Missions budget is prepared by the Missions Board, presented to the Elder Board for approval and voted on each year at the Westgate Church annual meeting. It is the desire of the Elder Board that members of Westgate Church first tithe to the Westgate general fund. The Elders in turn give a tithe of the general fund to help Westgate Missions. The remaining needs of the annual missions budget depend upon the generosity of Westgaters to give to missions above and beyond their tithe to Westgate Church. Pledges are received from the congregation during the fall annual missions conference. Some choose not to complete pledge cards and just give to the missions fund. This is very acceptable but makes it more challenging for the Missions Board to plan for the financial year.
