For Our Missionaries

Dear Missionaries,

Thank you for being a part of our church family, and for allowing us to be a part of your work in fulfilling Christ's Great Commission.

The following guidelines will allow us to keep our congregation connected through prayer and thought to you and your ministries.

For our website, please keep us updated with the following:

For your Profiles Page:

  • Any change of contact info (including when on furlough): address, phone number, email. When applicable, please give a "good until" date for your contact info.
  • A current 1-3 paragraph summary of your missions role, objectives, and activities;
  • 3-7 medium or long term general prayer requests.
  • A family photo (updated as needed) in JPG format (we will resize and compress for the webpage).

For Your letters Page:

  • An electronic copy of your quaterly or monthly prayer letters sent as a Word processing document.

Please send updates for the webpage by email to the Missions Board, Paul Tanzi (pjtanzi@comcast.net) and Marie Tupaj (marie.tupaj@gmail.com).

Please see other Missionaries' pages on the site for samples.

Please check your profile and letters page at least quaterly or annually, as appropriate, to make sure all information is accurate and up to date.

OPTIONAL - HTML POSSIBILITIES:

If you can learn basic HTML, you will have the potential to greatly personalize your letters page, include pictures, and have control over its formatting.

Your letters page portion of the website is set up as its own mini webpage (in its own folder with your letters page as "index.htm". For most missionaries on the site, this currently exists as a "bare bones", text only site.

If you are willing and able to handle the HTML formatting yourself, you would be welcome to develop a more ambitious and interactive "letters page". If you would like to do this, please observe the following guidelines:

  • Email me, as an attachment a folder containing your "index.htm" file and any supporting files and/or folders. Email me the complete folder with each update.
  • Make updates no more than once per month.
  • Keep the file structure relatively streamlined and total file sizes somewhat lean. Compress any photos to screen size and resolution. Be wary of some Microsoft products which may produce a bloated file structure and HTML code and/or not work well with non Microsoft software.
  • Keep prominent links back to your profiles page, to the Missions Letters Page, and to the Missions Home Page (see your current letters page for an example).
