FAQ's about our group:
Our group started in 2004 with 6 families and 17 kids and has grown to 18 families and over 60 kids starting in Fall 2009.  We meet at Westgate Church in Weston MA on Fridays.
What types of programs and events would I expect to be involved with in the F.A.I.T.H Homeschool Group?
During past academic seasons we have organized art classes, field trips to museums, and drama productions. We are members of Mass H.O.P.E., and participate in activities with other area Homeschool organizations. We are always open to new ideas for activities.
Starting fall 2009 we will have two primary ways to be involved:
Cooperative Education: Children learn from parent led classes such as Creative Writing, Biology: Dissection, and Art History.
Presentations: Kids enjoy lunch and recess together, and make oral presentation to the "crowd" to develop public speaking and social skills.
When and where do you meet?
Our group now meets Fridays from 9am-2pm, Sept - May.
9:00am-12:00pm Cooperative Ed time (Registration CLOSED)
12:00pm- 2:00pm Lunch, Recess, Presentations (OPEN)
We meet at the Westgate Church, 100 Winter Street, Weston, MA. (Click here for directions)
What age children are involved?
Cooperative classes are available for children between Kindergarten and 8th grades, but all children from birth to 18 years old are welcome.  Preschool is provided for kids who have older siblings participating in the program.
Do I need to stay with the children during the meetings?
Yes. This is an opportunity to meet other homeschooling parents, to network, and to get information on homeschooling in the Metrowest suburbs of Boston.
